Description: "A fallen boxer. A woman with a broken dream. A competition…

He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…

Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.

He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .

But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.

I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.

If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?"

My Review: I first read Real right after it was released for Kindle and instantly fell in love with Remy. From the very beginning Remy is described as incredibly sexy and intense, and going further into the novel, he is exactly that. Along with Brooke I learned more about Remy and his world of underground fighting. I found it so endearing and sweet the way the two would exchange songs for each other, secretly sending each other messages. However, I did become a bit exasperated along with Brooke when it came to Remy's moods. Early on in the novel Brooke has no idea what is causing them and simply thinks that Remy is not interested in her (although I wondered why: Could she not feel all the sexual tension???) Once Brooke discovers the truth, their relationship changes because now their is nothing in their way. Or so they think... Brooke finds out that her sister is also involved with someone in Remy's world and must find a way to help her without Remy finding out. I loved how strong and independent Brooke is in attempting to help her sister. Remy is absolutely amazing in everything that he does and although he is a little controlling and intense, it is simply what makes Remy Remy. I was pleased with the ending even though I was having a slight breathing problem for a while when I did not think that Brooke and Remy's relationship would turn out ok.

Overall: I absolutely love Real. Remy and Brooke are perfect for each other and they both need each other. The underground fighting elements are great and perfectly balanced with the sex. The secondary characters are all amazing and I cannot wait for Mine. I give Real 5 stakes and am waiting impatiently for Mine.

  1. THis sounds like it could be a fun one to read, for sure. And I love the additional aspect of the underground fighting ring. I just read a book the other night that also included some underground fighting. I wonder if this is a new trend in new adult books.
