Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read
This week's question: Share something you've learned about book blogging of just blogging in general in the past month.
Something that I am learning is to not overbook. Such as do not agree to/accept/get books to review too many books at once, especially when there are real life things going on. As you know school is starting in many places, I am about to begin my first year of college/university so I am in for a lot of changes. However, my love of books and weak will power has me facing a daunting TBR pile and upcoming schedule.
Share with me something that you have learned and leave a comment below.
Good luck with starting college/university.

Nice! Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteYes, so true about overbooking reviews. They tend to pile up on you then you can't give the author a timeset as to when you're going to actually get the chance to get to their books so, yep. I agree with you :)

That is excellent advice and precisely the reason I have cut down on my NetGalley requests.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Feature & Follow
Lauren I've cut back on requesting Netgalley eARC's too as I want to raise my request to review books ratio to be higher as I'm getting denied sometimes and I think maybe it's because my % of requested books to reviewed books maybe too low :(
DeleteI agree with you, that is a perfect point. I've actually never had that problem. I only sometimes wish I had. LOL Good luck with school! :) Happy Friday. I'm a new follow on bloglovin.

I've learned to schedule, schedule, schedule. It helps me to avoid overbooking, and if I know I'll be busy (kids are going back to school soon, eep!) then I can write up my reviews for when I'm busy. Good luck with school! I'm a new follower on bloglovin'
ReplyDeleteLaureen do you follow any particular schedule or do you just do all your posts in one day when you just have the spare time? I want to work out a more organised system, so checking what others do that works for them so I can trial those systems :D
DeleteApril I've also learnt this the hard way, there are so many fantastic tours, request for reviews and eARC's to request that it gets overwhelming sometimes when all you do is accept. I love so many book descriptions and covers that I accept and sign up to too many but then I start stressing out when reading and it's not the same. I have to sit back, not get overwhelmed and remind myself that I do this because I love reading! It's easy to easily get overwhelmed.
