My Reaction: Untethered by Katie Hayoz had many things that I like to see in books. It includes love, friendship, and revenge which are all things I love. Sylvie and Cassie's friendship was very touching and emotional because it was plainly clear how much they depended on each other just to survive. The fact that this book involves teenagers made it more believable to me that they would let a boy come between them. I found the astral projection that Sylvie can do very interesting. Of all the books I have read I have only read two about things similar to astral projection. I agreed with Sylvie's emotions and actions through most of the book because of her bond with Cassie and thought that Cassie could have handled the situation a million times better. And if I was Sylvie, though, I would have chosen Nelson from the start. He seems so much cooler and more interesting. All in all I really loved Untethered and sincerely wish for a sequel because there was a bit of a cliff hanger ending.
Overall: (5/5) Because of the love triangle (or maybe square). I love Sylvie and wish her the best in the future, if there is a sequel. I love novels where I can read them and look up and I'm finished in 3 hours. Also the characters were so well developed and not cookie-cutter, where you actually care about them and what happens in their lives.
